This is the blog of an ordinary guy: a middle aged, middle-class, slightly overweight midwestern white guy who hasn’t quite made it to middle management. Politically, I am moderately conservative (which puts me right in the center in my locale). Theologically, I am a Christian and I like to think myself orthodox, but mainly I’m just looking for the truth — whatever it may be. In school I was labelled “gifted,” but I have found plenty of people smarter than I am. Actually “gifted” is a good way to think about it — I believe God has “gifted” all of us with something, so we all fit into the world in our own special way — which means that all of us, and none of us, are special. My personal spin on being ordinary is that it’s the perfect platform for discussing the human experience: the things I think, believe, and do are likely to be the things most other people think, believe and do.
I hope you will benefit from what you find here.
